Advanced Speedbox Constuction: Mass Production, Part 2 Preview.
Jig for Work Area 4: for installing the pre-drilled tubing into the frame. The ends of the tubing do not need to be flanged. The tubes are inserted 1/2 inch into the frames and clamped in place individually. Once all the tubes are installed and clamped, the cover is placed on top and the ends are sprayed or dipped in epoxy, the cover is removed, and the jig and pallet are sent into the oven. The vinyl tubing can withstand a 220 degrees Fahrenheit oven temperature. To remove the finished pallet, one press of the end of the two bars and all the clamps release simultaneously. The jigs are made of clothespins and epoxied foam, the epoxy spray shield covers of epoxied foam. This basic process can be scaled up for large scale automated mass production, or scaled down to a one man manual operation.
