There is a new proposal by Tom Ammiano in the California state government to completely legalize pot to those over 21. It could bring in lots of money in taxes and save lots in the legal system. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said it may be time consider some form of legalization. What do you think? Comments? Response videos?

I read it was the first to do so in a NORML blog post, but I couldn’t find that post again.
1)NORML is not a bunch of nonsense, whether or not any number of their employees are potheads.
2)Alcohol was illegal in federal law and state law. Kansas made alcohol illegal in 1881, 39 yrs before the 18th amendment was passed. When the 21st amendment was passed to repeal the 18th, states were still allowed to have it illegal. Many did, Mississippi was the last state to legalize alcohol and did so in 1966, 33 years after the 21st amendment was passed. This is similar to marijuana policy, since many states (especially along the southern border) made marijuana illegal before 1937, when the Marijuana Tax Act basically made marijuana illegal. An example is California passing the first law to make marijuana illegal in the U.S. in 1913, 24 years before the Marijuana Tax Act. Federal law and state law can act separately, that’s why we have separate legislative bodies, courts and law enforcement agencies.
1) I wasn’t high when I asked the question, wrote the first additional details or now. The assumption that I’m high all the time, because I read things on NORML or that I mention marijuana at all, is ridiculous. And so is the assumption that I would’ve written something stupid here if I were high. If you use your logic to a fuller extent, should I be presumed to be drunk all the time, too?
2) The first details were to point out that state law and federal work independently of each other, and one can make something illegal and while the other can still say it’s legal, with examples of alcohol and marijuana.
3) Of course my their wasn’t anything about California legalizing alcohol there, or else the question would have been resolved and my original unsureness would have been eased.

I have a license to buy it but I’d like to learn how to grow it. Anyone know how you do that in California? Where do dispensaries get their product?

Can you provide details: if i have to be non-profit or can i do it for profit. Also what all the things i have to do before i open doors for public

I know there are doctors that evaluate and then you go to a place to purchase but is it like a regular prescription is it confidential or are you put on a list or regristry and this is made available to law enforcement please i don’t need preaching just answers from folks who know

I’m a 16 year old boy and I live in CA, I have never in my life done drugs so please take this question seriously. for a couple years now i have been drumming, for fun and as a career. I think i have carpal tunnel now. I remember reading somewhere that medicinal marijuana was very helpful for this. so just wondering what I need to do to legally get one? also if you know of something else for carpal tunnel let me know.

I want to get a medical marijuana card in California and then move to Oregon, will it be valid in Oregon.

I got my california Medical Marijuana / California Prop 215 license for night-time relief and pain. Can I still get a job with the government, courts, etc? Currently, I am in school for Paralegal Studies and I am scared that now that I got my license that I may never be able to get in with the courts or sheriff station, etc.

Or would I have to go to a DMV to get my licence or my I.D and have to have a medical reason to have a med card-MMJ card
