How do I get a prescription for medical marijuana in California if I don’t live there.?

I am planning to go on vacation in California this summer and I want to get a Rx for medical marijuana, can it be done?

    Just make an appointment to see a doctor for pain. Ask for the medical marijuana. Of course you won’t be able to fill it back home, unless your state is one that has ratified the use of MM.

    no you cannot, because a doctor prescribing it to you would be breaking the law. Since your home state does not allow medical marijuana and that is your state of residence you cannot get a california Rx card. The reasoning is that you cannot recieve longterm out of state treatment (if you are a visitor) , and a medical Rx card is longterm treatment, therefore only available to residents. HOWEVER, if you state it is legal and just hard to get a medical card, then you may be able to get a california doctor to prescribe and then apply for the card in your home street
